Blue Flag Beaches To Visit As We Visit In celebration Of World Environment Day
Did you know, Cape Town has the highest number of beaches with the Bile flag Status!?
The Blue Flag Beach status is an international accreditation which ensures quality standards of beaches. This accreditation is awarded to beaches that display excellence through meeting 33 criteria covering four categories namely, environmental education and information, water quality, environmental management and safety. The accreditation is awarded to beaches per season and should the quality of the beach deteriorate, it's Blue flag Status will be revoked.
Cape Town is proud to be home of then such beaches. These include Bikini Beach, Mnandi Beach, Strandfontein Beach, Muizenberg Beach, Fish Hoek, Llandudno, Camps Bay Beach, Clifton 4th Beach, Melkbosstrand, Silwerstroomstrand, Silwerstroomstrand. Since World Environment Day is coming up on the 5th of June 2019, we decided it would be worthwhile celebrating our Eco-friendly beaches in conjunction with this important day. World Environment Day was established by the United Nation as the principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment and we ought to honour it as such.

Pick up liter from your local beaches and help protect the environment at the same time spreading awareness on the importance of saving our earth.
